Now more than ever, we need new ways to fall in love with the world. Photography offers us a path. Through the quality of our attention, we open ourselves to new ways of seeing and being in relationship with the wider world. For this six-week practice, we will reinterpret and repurpose relationship literature on romantic love to create prompts that invite us to court our subjects — a forest, a stranger, a stretch of light — with the same patience and curiosity we'd bring to any relationship of substance.

How might spending time in our archives reveal hidden narratives about time itself? Might abstractions offer views into deep time? Might our earliest images of family reveal long-buried memories? In this continued exploration of objects as portals to memory and meaning, Archiving Time With Time in the Archive is an invitation to hang out with and excavate meaning from past photographs.

September 28th, 2026 - November 9th (Skipping October 12th)
Mondays 6:30 - 8 pm EDT - 6 sessions on Zoom

Over six weeks, we will develop a Slow Looking practice we carry into the field and into the editing and sequencing that follows, sitting with an image long enough to quiet the inner critic and make room for curiosity. Deep listening becomes part of how we look, both at our work and at the work of other artists.

October 19th, 2026 - November 23rd, 2026
Mondays 6 -7:30 pm EDT for 6 weeks on Zoom

A working copy, by definition, isn't done yet. This group is for photographers who want writing to become a consistent, ongoing part of their practice, people who suspect language might be able to do something their camera can't, and who want to find out what.

October 1st - November 5th, 2026

What if self-portraiture could be a process that, rather than being centered on the self, expanded the relational web the self exists in? Bodies in Time: Expanding the Self through Self-Portraiture, is an invitation to explore how self-portraiture as a practice can reveal, shift, and offer insight into the unique ways that our own bodies inhabit identities, relationships, and places, within the context of time.
