Winter Residency & Reteat

During Kinship’s quiet winter season, we set aside time and space to host professors, teaching artists, arts educators, and experienced practitioners who want to work independently in the studio of their choice.

• Dates: Sunday to Sunday, December 13, 2026 to January 31st, 2027. Stay one week, or stack as many weeks as you like.

• Price: Winter residency rates are set at half the true cost, and grants and donations cover the other half. The price you pay is $525 per week (plus supplies).

• Studios: Each artist is assigned a studio that best fits their practice. See available studios here.

• What’s included: A private room and personal studio, plus a shared kitchen, bathroom, and library. The kitchen has all the tools; you bring the food.

• Applying: Requests are accepted on a rolling basis until we’re full, with no application fee. See request form below.

Once we receive your request, our studio coordinator will email you to set up a brief Zoom call to answer any questions and to make sure Kinship Studio is the right fit for your practice.
