About:
Designed by working photographers, the Silver Darkroom is well ventilated, spacious, and a pleasure to work in. Our professional darkroom is equipped with everything you need to make prints and develop film 35mm up to 8x10 negatives. During the winter months, this darkroom also houses our alternative processes darkroom.
Darkrooms are assigned to one artist at a time. You must have prior darkroom experience to reserve the darkroom for an independent retreat. If you are just getting started or need a refresher, request information on the retreat request form or register for one of our private darkroom workshops.

Besler 45MXII with 8x10 cold head enlarger (B&W) - 35mm up to 8x10
Beseler 45MXII condenser enlarger (B&W) - 35mm up to 4x5
UV Exposure Unit covers up to 20x24.
Injet printer for digital negatives up to 36” wide.
Contact frames 5x7 up to 20x24.
High-volume exhaust/ventilation.
GraLab Timers.
Poly-Contrast filters, Magna Sight grain focuser, and digital and analog timers.
Dodging, burning, and vignetting tools.
Adjustable 4-blade easels for prints 5x7 up to 16x20.

Sprint Systems Chemistry for B&W film and paper processing. Photographer provides thier own paper and film developers.
