Winter Residency Request Form for Educators

Kinship Studio is a small photography residency in Cumberland, Maryland. During our quiet winter season, we set aside time and space to host professors, teaching artists, and arts educators looking to begin, develop, or finish personal work or projects. You’ll work independently, and so will we.

• Dates: Sunday to Sunday, December 13 to February 28. Stay one week, or stack as many weeks as you like.

• Price: Winter residency rates are set at half the true cost, and grants and donations cover the other half. The price you pay is $525 per week (plus supplies).

• What’s included: A private room and personal studio, plus a shared kitchen, bathroom, and library.

• Applying: Requests are accepted on a rolling basis until we’re full, with no application fee.

Once we receive your request, our studio coordinator will email you to set up a brief Zoom call to answer any questions and to make sure Kinship Studio is the right fit for your practice.
