The Summer Share with Anna G. Norton

The Summer Share with Anna G. Norton

Join us via Zoom Wednesday, June 19th, 7 pm EDT

There comes a time in everyones creative practice where we exhaust our cranial resources, reach dead ends, and just need to bounce ideas and find inspiration from peers. This summer Kinship will be offering project and portfolio reviews. Kinship peer reviews are not critiques but a chance to share your work within a highly supportive environment where you can ask thoughtful questions and recieve equally thoughtful responses.

Join us for our first summer review with Anna G. Norton. Anna will be sharing her long-term documentary project that features images of longleaf pine restoration on her family property in Baker County, Georgia which she is crafting into a book. Like many of us who are working on long-term projects, Anna is looking for guidance on what to keep and what to let go of. Does including a larger number of images help capture the complexity of the story or water it down? Where is the line between enough and too much?

If you are new to Kinship, we ask that you read our Culture of Kinship guidelines before offering feedback. Everyone is welcome and your participation and refelctions are what makes this process special.

Would you like to share your work this summer? The last 30 minutes of this conversation will be devoted to answering all your questions about submitting a project or photo collection for review. Photographers of all levels are welcome.
