Elementals: AIR

Elementals: Air

Join us via Zoom Wednesday, April 2nd, at 7 pm ET

Infinite and always in motion, air is unutterably old, and its spirit carries with it the story of everything. What do we make of a thing as ineffable as air? How can we use photography to engage with the more ethereal nature of being? In what ways can air offer breathing room, allowing our imaginations to thrive? And when we ‘play’ with air, what spaciousness emerges not just in our photography practices, but also in our relationships with our earthly kin?

Join kinship members Chris Warner-Carey and Lyn Swett Miller for this introduction to the first element, Air, in Kinship’s year-long exploration of an elemental life. They will share what they have learned from other photographers' relationships to air, as well as how they have come to more deeply understand this element through their work. Chris and Lyn will also share brief summaries of this spring’s practice groups in preparation for our more in-depth practice information session on April 9th

There will be ample time for conversation and questions. We are eager to hear how “air” moves through your imagination and work.
