Stray Embers: Documentary Screening in Asheville

STRAY EMBERS follows a fifth-generation Paradise, California resident who saves his home during the 2018 Camp Fire and opens his doors to more than 20 displaced neighbors, friends, and their dogs, creating an improvised, multi-generational household. Filmed over five years, the film traces how this community rebuilds not just their homes, but their sense of belonging to one another. Co-directed by friends of Kinship Erin Brethauer and Tim Hussin.
