As we approach the mid-year on our Elementals call for engagement, we will be turning our attention to Water. As a living presence, Water is part of our everyday lives and also provides opportunities for awe and wonder. Healing, destructive, immersive, and essential, water connects every living being. Its circulation and flow make life on Earth possible and defines our very existence.

How can photography invite us to ponder the traditions, perspectives, sensations and aspirations linked to this vital element? What can we do to protect and enhance this fundamental resource for us and the living world? During our Fall exploration of water, we will explore questions of beauty, ecology, advocacy, sensation, metaphor, and transformation.
