Call For Submission

Kinship Photography Collective seeks bodies of work by photographers and lens-based artists (of all levels).

Please read our Call for Kinship to familiarize yourself with our community and our four overarching themes before submitting work. Selected work is featured on our website, in our weekly newsletter, and may be considered for publication and thematic group exhibitions in the future.

Submissions are received and reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage you to submit bodies of work of up to 10 photographs.

Kinship encourages submissions from artists who identify as culturally, geographically, educationally, and marginalized, including (but not limited to) Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Queer, Trans, Non-binary, Gay, Lesbian, Two-Spirit, people with disabilities, women, those without a formal art education, and people who identify as any intersectionality or identity not mentioned here.

Submission Guidelines

Photographers of all levels are encouraged to submit, however:

1. All work submitted must be the copyright of the photographer. You must be 18 years or older to submit work.

2. Submissions are currently open on a rolling basis.

3. Before submitting work for consideration, please read the Kinship Submission Terms & Conditions.

4. Fill out the submission form and download up to 10 image at 1500 pixels on the longest side. Image files MUST include your first and last name and an image title or number. Example: susan_stone_ window.jpg or susan_stone_ 01.jpeg  . Watermarked images will not be considered for use. If you send us an image file that does not contain your name, we have no way to match the photograph to your submission form and it will be deleted.

5. Kinship has removed all paywalls and submission fees, but please keep in mind that we are a community-supported project and rely on your donations to thrive and grow. Please donate if you can.

If you have trouble with the submission form or uploading files, let us know right away at info@kinship.photography

Submission fees and donations support our online platforms, community exhibitions, and free weekly artist talks. We are grateful for your support.
