Planet: Exploring Deep Time Through Photography

Exploring Planetary Time Through Photography

Join us via Zoom Wednesday, June 29th, at 7 pm ET

Through Kinship, we are exploring dynamic and inspiring questions that nest, overlap, and intertwine within four main themes: planet, place, persons, and partners. Join us this week for our first theme-focused community conversation where we will hone in on the theme of “planet” and launch a month-long call for engagement.

As we cross the threshold into summer, we will be exploring ways to use photography to connect with the scales of time and space in which our planet evolves. Can photography help us creatively and more consciously respond to Earth’s planetary cycles–the motions of the continents and oceans, our passage around the sun, the journeys of wind, water, and dust?

In addition to exploring our “planet” theme, we will walk you through our Kinship engagement process and introduce you to our dynamic community engagement platform where you can submit and share your own photographs. We hope you will join us for this month-long call for engagement.
