National Parks: Artist Residencies

National Parks: Artist Residencies

Join us via Zoom Wednesday, January 22nd, 7 pm ET

From Hawaiian volcanoes to ancient Puebloan city complexes lost to time, to the desolate Big Bend of the Rio Grande, from Zabriskie Point to the historical bounties of First State National Park, to the battlefields of Gettysburg, and the Shenandoah Mountains. National Parks throughout the US invite and host artists from around the world to explore, connect, partner, and create.

Artists range from nationally renowned at the height of their careers to those just starting. Most residencies cover the cost of your stay, while others include stipends and more. Most importantly, National Park residencies become places of profound creativity and life-changing experiences.

Please join us for an informative and inspiring conversation with folks from the National Parks Arts Foundation and the Shenandoah National Park Artist in Residence program. Learn about upcoming residency opportunities, open calls for applications, insights on what makes a great application, and how residencies can lead to additional opportunities like artist-led workshops, community archives, and museum exhibitions.
