Between Bodies: A Kinship Call for Submissions

Between Bodies: A Community-Wide Call for Submissions

What’s between you and me? Between us and them? Between our bodies and the places we inhabit? Between the sky, the land, the water? Between absence and presence? Between belonging and alienation? Between life and death? Between who we are now and who we long to become?

For our upcoming "Between Bodies" exhibitions we are looking for photographs that feature all types of bodies — human, plant, animal, geological, social, political, spiritual, etc. — and the visible and invisible relationships that arise between them. See our full call for engagement here.

Kinship’s intention for this exhibition is to weave your photographs into a collective “between” space that embraces vulnerability, longing, loss, alongside the possibility of intimacy, communion, joy, and belonging. The human and more-than-human relationships featured in this exhibition will invite viewers to contemplate the relationships that shape (and potentially reshape) who they are and how they perceive the world.

The best part of our Kinship calls-for-engagement is the opportunity to see and celebrate the variety of work each of you have created and to weave that work into layered offerings that celebrate the power of creative and collaborative dialogue. So please share your work!
