Artist Housing Opportunity - Marshall, NC
Opening in January, 2026
Kinship Photography Collective Co-Founder Frances Bukovsky is looking to fill a roommate opening in early 2026 in a large farmhouse equipped with spacious studio space, a full black and white darkroom, alternative process workroom, canning kitchen, communal studio space, and private office space. This space was originally the Maker’s Circle residency house.
This spot would be fantastic for a photographer, artist, or musician who is looking for space to work on their creative practice. The house is 35min to downtown Asheville, NC, and less than 10 from downtown Marshall and Mars Hill, making it a quiet and restful place to dive into creativity while surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is ample outdoor space for gardening and contemplation, and an established vegetable and herb garden.
Details:
Rent: $800 + Utilities. This includes basic lawncare.
Roommate information: Frances is an active photographer and artist in the Asheville area who cultivates a restful home environment. They have a 15 year old friendly cat named Edgar who mostly stays upstairs or in the living room, however who will wander the house and likes to say hello.
Unfortunately this space is not able to house any additional furry kin.
