Listening to the Land: Online Practice Group

Zoom Events: Every other Thursday @ 7 pm EDT
April 13th, April 27th, May 11th, May 25th, June 8th, June 22nd

This practice group is for photographers working on the Listening to the Land: Reimagining the Bartram Trail project. Join anytime. To keep you inspired and connected during this collaborative project, we will be practicing together in two ways. First, through Zoom meetings every other Thursday at 7 pm EDT starting April 13th. You do not have to attend every session and showing work during the Zoom sessions is optional.

And second, for those who can't attend the zoom sessions (and also for those that can), we be sharing resources and recordings of our Thursday Zoom meetups via Kinship Circle (our private social platform). In both groups we will share resources to keep you inspired and make space for you to share your unfolding work for feedback and reflection (and maybe even collaboration). Together, we will be cultivating our unique visual relationships to the Bartram Trail while searching for threads that tie the photographs together. Exhibition curators will be joining us to explore emerging themes to consider for the upcoming show at The Bascom.

Photographers of all levels are welcome to attend; you can join any time, though you will benefit most from attending all six sessions and engaging regularly through Kinship Circle.

Practice groups are offered by donation. At Kinship we aim for financial accessibility; all are welcome, and financial contributions of any amount are sincerely appreciated.
